چکیده
In this paper, we shall formulate a new micro-mechanical model for describing both local and macroscopic elastic–plastic behavior of porous rocks with pressure-sensitive tension–compression asymmetric solid matrix. For purpose, incremental variational mean field homogenization (IVMFH) method is first established. The novelty lies in the fact that formulation allows considering matrix obeying nonlinear plastic yield criterion rather than linear Drucker–Prager one adopted previous work Zhao et al. (2019). To end, optimization procedure proposed to estimate effective potential involving stress-dependent relation between volumetric deviatoric parts strain takes into account effect non-uniform distribution stress fields by incorporating their second moments process. able provide not only but also mechanical responses rocks. Its efficiency assessed series comparisons full-field finite element calculations. Application examples are presented through experimental data two typical rocks: Vosges sandstone Lixhe chalk.

A Growth Model for Porous Sedimentary Rocks
A growth model for porous sedimentary rocks is proposed, using a simple computer simulation algorithm. We generate the structure by ballistic deposition of particles with a bimodal size distribution. Porosity and specific surface area are calculated varying the proportion of small and larger particles. Permeability and it’s variation with porosity are studied. The fractal nature of the pore spa...

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...
15 صفحه اولA scalable variational inequality approach for flow through porous media models with pressure-dependent viscosity
Mathematical models for flow through porous media typically enjoy the so-called maximum principles, which place bounds on the pressure field. It is highly desirable to preserve these bounds on the pressure field in predictive numerical simulations, that is, one needs to satisfy discrete maximum principles (DMP). Unfortunately, many of the existing formulations for flow through porous media mode...
